In an attempt to make the HTML versions of the downloadable books more useful, 
I would like to include a search engine that will work offline -- that is, one 
that downloads as part of the book and works as a stand-alone unit without an 
Internet connection. If you know of a good one, please email me of its

The Java/CORBA seminar is coming up next in Crested Butte, July 17-21. The 
material has been updated to reflect the new developments in CORBA as well as 
with improved teaching techniques. The next one won't be until Winter in San 
Diego.

Marco Cantu's advanced OOP programing with Delphi will be held right after the 
Borland Conference in San Diego (July 13-14) and focuses on OO design and 
programming idioms & patterns.

The Java Enterprise Programming seminar has been moved to September 25-29. 
We're still putting the description together, but it will include Servlets, 
JSPs, JDBC, EJBs and RMI.

* Considering an OOA/D workshop

I'm considering resurrecting my 5-day Object-Oriented Analysis and Design 
workshop for September or October in Crested Butte. This would be for both 
programmers and technical managers but you would NOT need experience in an OOP 
language. It would teach objects and how to design them from an introductory 
standpoint, and would include UML, CRC cards, Extreme Programming, and the 
project lifecycle. We would have an ongoing design project throughout the 
week, and even include some basic implementations.
