This seminar has sold out every time we've given it so you'll probably want to sign up early. http://www.mindview.net/JavaDesignPatternsIdioms.html =================================== * Status of Hands-On-Java CD, 2nd ed. I'm now recording the lectures for the 2nd edition of the Hands-On Java CD. I've learned that producing a CD ROM is always full of surprises so I don't want to make promises right now about when it will be finished. If you buy the first edition now, you are well within the window to get the 2nd edition as a free upgrade when it comes out. Since you're on this mailing list you'll be automatically informed when it is available and how to upgrade. =================================== * Chapters 2 & 3 of Thinking in Java Solutions Manual I have posted the free "demo" solutions for Thinking in Java, 2nd edition, at http://www.mindview.net/TIJ2/SolutionGuide.html The selected solutions for the remainder of the book will be available for $12 at some undetermined time in the future, and will be announced in this newsletter. =================================== * Making a Windows CD ROM run on the Mac? After buying an iMac for the express purpose of trying to create a cross-platform CD ROM, I've been unable to find anyone who knows enough about it to tell me how to set up the CD with the necessary information so that the Mac can recognize HTML files and sound files, etc. (Yes, I've read about the resource fork, but no one explains how to make one on a standard CD from/for my PowerPoint-generated HTML & Sound files). If you have any tips or pointers, please send them -- thanks. ___| Until Next Time... |________________________ Java programming questions: http://www.mindview.net/TIJ2/JavaQuestions.html Speaking & Seminar schedule: http://www.mindview.net/Calendar/Calendar.html Anyone can sign up for this newsletter by sending an email to join-eckel-oo-programming@earth.lyris.net.
